Whatever your education level, the Canadian Forces have a direct entry plan for you.
High School Students and Graduates
If you have at least a grade 10 education and prefer to join the Canadian Forces directly rather than take advantage of our subsidized technical college or university education plans, we will provide you with recruit training and all the necessary training to become a technician or an operator in the Army, the Navy or the Air Force. You will of course enjoy a competitive salary from day 1 as well as many other benefits.
Graduates of a Technical School
If you already possess a certificate or diploma from a vocational or technical school in a relevant field, you are one step ahead in your new career. You will undergo military training and you may require additional training in your field. You will of course earn a competitive salary from day 1 and, in some cases, you may benefit from a recruiting allowance or incentive.
University Graduates
If you are a university graduate in a field of interest to the Canadian Forces, you will enjoy an immediate promotion; you will need to attend the officer training course to help you develop your leadership skills. A student currently in the final year of a degree program is also eligible to apply.
