The information session will focus specifically on the ROTP, a university-level subsidized education program leading to a bachelor's degree and a commission as an Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.  It will include presentations from Officer Cadets presently studying at our two royal military colleges, and from a recent graduate.  A presentation explaining the application process will follow.  There will also be an opportunity for the public, if desired, to try out our fitness standards through the FORCE evaluation (bring your running shoes!).

We look forward to meeting you and to showcase all that the Canadian Armed Forces has to offer.

Force Test Demo

The Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Center Pacific will be hosting a Canadian Armed Forces Fitness Test and Info Session at the British Columbia Regiment drill hall in Vancouver Saturday, May 27th from 10:00am - 2:00pm.


Come down and try the Canadian Armed Forces fitness test and check out the armouries of one of Vancouvers prestigous reserve units! Recruiters will also be on site conducting a presentation and will be available for questions throughout the day.

This is a public event open to everyone, come down and check it out! If you are interested in trying the fitness test, please wear appropriate sport clothing and bring a water bottle!

The Royal Military College of Canada offers an excellent path for Canadian youth to achieve both a Post-Secondary degree from a prestigious institution, as well as full time employment with the Canadian Armed Forces in a variety of exciting and challenging Officer occupations. Royal Military College has numerous degree programs tailored to the needs and interests of both the students and the Canadian Armed Forces in Arts, Sciences, and Engineering. In order to be accepted into these programs, however, there are a number of pre-requisite courses which must be completed.
Students going into their final year at High School who are interested in a career in the CAF, and who demonstrate academic aptitude, should take full advantage of this information session which will help increase their likelihood of being accepted into Royal Military College. The information session will cover specific academic programs, life at the Royal Military College, the application process, and more general information regarding life in the Canadian Armed Forces.
The decision to proceed with an application to the Royal Military College and the Canadian Armed Forces is not one to be taken lightly, and has the potential to shape the direction of anyone’s life, particularly those that are just beginning their foray into adulthood. We have seen in the past that strong support from family, friends, and people of influence is highly beneficial to the success of anyone applying to the Royal Military College.

Ever wonder if you have what it takes to complete the Canadian Armed Forces fitness test? What military rations taste like? What it feels like to wear full military gear? Have questions about life in the military? Here’s your chance to find out during the Experience the Canadian Armed Forces interactive event taking place at the Bay street Armoury, 713 Bay Street, on Saturday, on 18th November, from 10am-3pm.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at the combat simulator (an interactive electronic shooting range), attempt the physical fitness test, sample military survival food, or simply talk to military members about their jobs and ask recruiters about career and subsidized education opportunities.
